Exhale homepage

Try this simple exercise

Breath out completely… now push a little more air out… and then a little more… now hold it for 10 seconds… Breath normally again.

This exercise in extreme exhaling is a metaphor for those who seek to grow in love purely through their own effort. They will expend whatever love they have and work until they are completely spent—motivated by a desire to be a more loving person. But such an approach is literally suffocating. For a short time, it makes a difference and perhaps others will even notice it. But ultimately you are forced to give up; exhausted; feeling like a failure; wanting to love more; but depleted.

The Importance of Inhaling and Exhaling Submitted by Tim Hufnagel 10 Apr 09
First you have to become aware if the things you do provide or cost energy. I think I became aware of it pretty fast (Sure I still have know it even better). But than I started to get difficulties with inhaling because I didn't have a big variety of an inhaling repertoire, so it felt like inhaling the same air over and over again till there is no oxyen left.

Exhaling is Usually The Problem Submitted by Warren Cooper 04 Jul 08

This whole exhaling / inhaling thing has been a bit of a revelation.

My starting point is on the green blue side of the trinitarian compass and with church life. A percieving detached believer who lacks faithfulness and self control, but is totally big on the peace and goodness.
